Planet Description
Arlia is a mostly desert planet. Very dry, covered in large sand dunes, with almost all of the water located in underground lakes. Vicious sandstorms frequently whip across the planet. Arlia is very close to its sun, causing it have intensely high temperatures year round. Due to this, most of the inhabitants live underground. Arlia was once a very prosperous planet filled with industry and billions of people. Centuries of war and revolution have since torn the planet apart leaving it in ruins with several small scattered communities and one large underground city. The infamous Arlian Battle Arena is located here.
Inhabitants
There are two species of sentient that naturally inhabit Arlia. One group has named themselves the Arlians. They are small in stature, 4 feet tall on average. Their skin color ranges from dark green, to navy blue, to black, with thick dark hair. They are not very technologically advanced, and are fierce unfriendly warriors by nature. They are at war with the Rauga. Raugu are an insect-like species, roughly 7 feet tall. They walk on two legs, and have 4 pincer-like claws, along with 4 translucent wings. The Rauga are maroon in color, with white eye. They cannot stand the direct heat for extended periods, and as such, must live underground. Individual Rauga are brainless, and obey all commands of the hive queen.
The Saiyan Empire has several small cities and towns built on Arlia all of which are well protected. The Saiyans use Arlia's vast underground caves as mines and extract valuable ores and fuels from the planet. While they exterminate entire hives of Rauga that are in their path.
